Officers conducting a proactive vehicle stop in Totton yesterday (14 July) have arrested a man on suspicion of drug supply offences.
It comes after a BMW with three people inside was following by officers into Totton Retail car park on Commercial Road at around 4.20pm after concerns about relevant documentation.
The driver and a passenger made off on foot from the scene as the vehicle came to a stop – with area searches conducted to locate them both, but to no avail. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those individuals.
While a search was conducted of the vehicle and a third person in the rear passenger seats.
A quantity of Class B drugs were located and seized, along with a number of mobile devices and the vehicle itself.
A 48-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
He remains in custody at this time.
