Police have charged a man with drugs offences following a vehicle stop in Fareham.
On the morning of Tuesday 4 January this year, a Ford Puma was stopped by police on Newgate Lane, and officers searching the car seized a large quantity of suspected heroin and crack cocaine.
Brian Keating, aged 65, of West Derby Road in Liverpool was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today.
At today’s hearing, he was remanded further and will next appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 7 February.
