Man charged with Andover arson and assault

Officers have charged a man following an incident in Alder Road, Andover.
Shortly after midnight yesterday (29 January), police responded to reports of a fire at an address.
Police also received an allegation that a woman was assaulted at the location by a man known to her.
Following enquiries, Mwamba Munkonge, aged 30, of Alder Road in Andover was charged with arson and assault by beating.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday 31 January.
