We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Kent Street, Northam, on Sunday (20 February).
At around 5pm we received a report that a man was threatening another man outside the victim’s flat.
The man then entered the flat and assaulted the victim.
The victim, a man in his 60s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries and is being treated at hospital.
A 32-year-old Southampton man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody at this time while we continue to investigate.
We are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident, which we believe to be an isolated event.
Did you witness the moments before or after the assault, or do you have any valuable information about the incident which could assist our officers?
Please contact us on 101 or report online, quoting 44220071437.
