Two people have been arrested following a burglary in Southampton.
At 3.34am on Thursday we attended a break in at a property in King Georges Avenue.
The back door had been broken into and a £500 watch and car keys were among items stolen. The car they belong to was not taken.
Officers conducted enquiries and a 27-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal, possessing a Class A drug and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A 30-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal.
Both were bailed until 3 March while enquiries continue.
Insp Sarah Nicholson, of the Southampton West Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We know burglaries are a real concern in the community so we hope this sends out a strong message that we take the issue seriously and will bring offenders to justice.”
