Police officers investigating a serious assault in Bitterne have now charged a third teenager in connection with the incident.
This comes after a man was assaulted inside a convenience store on Bitterne Road West in Southampton just before 3pm on Saturday 18 December.
A 17-year-old boy from Southampton has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been bailed to appear at West Hampshire Youth Court on 28 February.
Two other teenage boys were charged in December in connection with the incident.
These were as follows:
A 16-year-old boy from Southampton was charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 17-year-old boy, from Southampton, was charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
