We have charged a woman in connection with a distraction burglary in Havant.
On 26 April, a woman knocked on the door of an address on Eastleigh Road and told the occupants, a man and a woman in their 80s, that she was looking for her cat. She encouraged the occupants to leave the property and enter the garden in an attempt to help her while a man entered the house and attempted to steal items from inside. Nothing was taken.
Daniela Stoica, 31 of the Green, Slough, has been charged with two counts of dwelling burglary.
She is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 24 August).
We have also arrested a 32-year-old man from Bristol in connection with this incident. He has been released on conditional police bail.
