Officers investigating a burglary at a Hedge End industrial estate have arrested a man in connection with an incident.
It comes after a member of the public reported that a burglary was in progress on Shamblehurst Lane South in Hedge End at around 10.20pm yesterday evening (15 August).
A Ford transit van was allegedly seen on CCTV to pull up to an industrial unit before a number of items were loaded into the vehicle, before fleeing the scene upon police arrival.
The vehicle was then located at the top of Drummond Road after it had overturned.
An area search was conducted by officers to locate those involved, with a member of the public assisting in locating a man in a nearby bush.
A 42-year-old man from Southampton was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving.
He remains in custody at this time.
