Four people have been arrested in connection with drug supply and weapon offences in Southampton.
At 12.30pm yesterday (7 April), officers on patrol stopped a silver VW Golf in Staplehurst Road and following enquiries detained four people for drugs searches. Three phones were among items seized.
The car was also searched and officers found a large knife and a black rucksack containing another knife, a Nokia phone, a quantity of cannabis and a wallet containing £200 in cash. These were all seized.
A 12-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug – cannabis. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A 20-year-old man from Southampton, a 19-year-old man from Bursledon and a 20-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. They have been bailed with conditions until 5 May while enquiries continue.
