Officers investigating a burglary at an address in Gainsborough Close have arrested two people.
We were called at 7.40am on Saturday, 4 September to a report of a burglary that took place sometime between 11pm Friday, 3 September and 7.10am Saturday, 4 September at an address in Gainsborough Close.
A wallet, bank cards and a car key had been taken from inside the property and a Ford Focus had been stolen from the driveway.
Shortly after 1pm on Saturday 4 September, officers spotted the Ford Focus being driven on Bassett Avenue, Southampton.
Officers stopped the vehicle and subsequently arrested the two occupants.
A 17-year-old boy from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
A 19-year-old man, also from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of an imitation firearm and drink driving.
Both have been released from custody but remain on police bail with conditions while our enquiries continue.
