Police investigating an attempted assault in Eastleigh have arrested a man in connection with the incident.
It comes after a silver BMW was reportedly involved in a collision with a pedestrian at the junction of Albert Road and Consort Road at around 5.30pm yesterday evening (7 October).
A verbal exchange occurred between the driver of the vehicle and the victim, before the vehicle was seen to flee the scene.
A man in his 40s from Eastleigh suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
A 36-year-old man from Eastleigh was subsequently located and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody at this time.
