Officers investigating the death of a man in Andover have charged a man.
Shane Richard Donovan, 27, of York Court in Andover, was previously charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at Winchester Crown Court today, 7 October, where he was further charged with manslaughter.
John William Carroll, 62, was assaulted outside the Tesco Extra store at around 9.18pm on Thursday, 29 July.
He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury but sadly passed away on Tuesday 10 August.
Donovan pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter today and will appear before Winchester Crown Court on 4 November.
