Arrest made by officers investigating sudden death in Yarmouth

We have arrested a man in his 60s on suspicion of murder following a sudden death in Yarmouth.

Officers were called to Yarmouth High Street on 22 September, following concerns raised for the welfare of a woman who fell seriously ill at an address.

The woman was taken to hospital where she subsequently died.

Following a number of enquiries, we are still trying to establish the exact circumstances of the death, but are currently treating the death as suspicious and have arrested a man, who was known to the woman, as part of our investigation.

He has been bailed until 8 November while our enquiries continue.
