The family of a man who died in a collision in Winchester on 9 October have paid tribute to him.
Officers were called just after 2.15pm, following reports of a two vehicle collision on Morestead Road.
A red and white Ducati 749 motorcycle was involved in a collision with a mauve Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.
The rider of the Ducati motorcycle, Jonathan Gates, 54, from Maple Drive, Kings Worthy, died at the scene.
Paying tribute to him, his family said: “Jon sadly passed away doing what he loved to do, riding bikes.
“A loving husband, a father, stepfather and grandad to two beautiful girls.
“He will be forever loved and forever missed.
“The family wish to thank the emergency services and all their friends and family for their support at this sad time.”
We continue to investigate witnesses or those with dash cam footage of the collision can call 101 or report it online, quoting reference number 44210405931.
