A man has been arrested following a public order incident on Commercial Road yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 3 November).
We were called at 12.30pm to a report that a group of men were involved in an altercation on Commercial Road.
Officers attended and conducted a search of the area. An 18-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, conspiring to conceal criminal property, possession of a controlled Class A drug and arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation. He has been released on police bail while our enquiries continue.
This incident is under investigation and enquiries are underway to locate the people involved.
