Officers investigating a burglary in Southampton are appealing for witnesses.
We were called at 11.10am on Wednesday, 5 May to a report of a burglary that took place sometime between 9am and 11am that same morning, at a property on Glen Eyre Road, close to the junction of Burgess Road in Southampton.
Entry was forced to the property and a Mercedes Benz car was stolen along with personal items including jewellery.
At around the time of the incident, two men dressed as builders, wearing high visibility jackets, were seen standing near to the front door of the address, in close proximity to a small black hatchback that had the boot open.
One of the men was described as being Asian, approximately 6ft tall with a short dark beard. He was wearing a red hoody and a high visibility jacket.
The burglary took place at a busy time of day, on a street that is frequently used by students on their way to or from University.
Were you in the area at around this time? Did you see anything suspicious? Did you see two men matching the descriptions above? Maybe you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage?
