Officers investigating an attempted burglary in Lymington this morning (20 May) have arrested three people in connection with the incident.
It comes after officers received reports from a member of the public of an attempted burglary at a property on Danecrest Road just after midnight this morning.
We were deployed to the area and quickly located a van which matched the description provided to police by the victim, which then failed to stop for officers.
The vehicle was stopped and searched, where two high-value bikes were found in the rear of the van – believed to have been stolen during a previous burglary in the New Milton area.
A 17-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a Class B drug.
A 17-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
They remain in custody at this time.
