Officers conducting a routine stop search of a vehicle in Eastleigh have arrested two men in connection with drug supply offences.
It comes after officers witnessed a silver Mercedes driving poorly after it drove straight over a junction without due care. The vehicle was stopped as it turned into Friars Road from Chestnut Avenue at around 11.20am on Sunday 2 May.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and a quantity of cash were located and seized as a result.
A quantity of Class B drugs and other drug-related paraphernalia were located following a further search of a property in Shinewell Gardens, Millbrook yesterday evening (2 May).
A 64-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
While a 26-year-old man from Eastleigh was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug and possession of a Class A drug.
Both men have been released under investigation.
