Officers investigating a number of shoplifting offences in Southampton have charged a 34-year-old man.
Philip Rosher, 34, of no fixed abode, has been charged with 17 shoplifting offences that took place between Wednesday, 22 March and Tuesday, 4 May.
The incidents are as follows:
- On Monday, 22 March, at around 8.20am, items worth approximately £75 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Monday, 5 April, at around 9.35pm, items worth approximately £107 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Tuesday, 6 April, at around 4.10pm, items worth approximately £33 were stolen from Tesco Express on Winchester Road, Fair Oak.
- On Wednesday, 7 April, on three separate occasions, items worth approximately £43, £40 and £52 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Sunday, 11 April at around 2.40pm, items worth approximately £41 were stolen from Tesco Express, Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Monday, 12 April at around 4.20pm, items worth approximately £40 were stolen from Tesco Express, Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Monday, 12 April at around 9.10pm, items worth approximately £48 were stolen from Tesco Express, West End Road, Harefield.
- On Wednesday, 14 April at around 10pm, items worth approximately £45 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Friday, 16 April, on two separate occasions, items worth approximately £76 and £40 were stolen from Tesco Express, Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Monday, 19 April, at around 10pm, items to worth approximately £75 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Thursday, 22 April at around 12.35pm, items worth approximately £71 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Saturday, 1 May, at around 7.45pm, items worth approximately £60 were stolen from Tesco Express on Winchester Road, Fair Oak.
- On Sunday, 2 May, at around 7.30pm, items worth approximately £37 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
- On Tuesday, 4 May, at around 2.25pm, items worth approximately £15 were stolen from Tesco Express on Witts Hill, Bitterne.
Rosher was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, 14 May.
