A man has been arrested after officers carried out a proactive stop and search in Southampton.
At around 12pm yesterday, Monday, 10 May, officers from the Southampton City Centre team carried out a proactive stop and search after seeing a suspected drugs deal taking place in the Lansdowne Hill area of the city centre.
During the search officers located a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.
A 38-year-old man, from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was questioned by officers and has since been released from custody but remains under investigation.
