We are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious incident in Winchester yesterday (13 July) where a boy was assaulted.
At around 8.30am, an 11-year-old boy was walking along Bereweeke Avenue and turned left into an alleyway between Taplings Road and Eling Close.
While walking down this alleyway, he was approached by a man unknown to him who put his arms around the boy’s waist.
The boy managed to free himself and ran off to find his mother.
We are treating the incident as an assault, however the boy did not sustain any injuries.
The man is described as:
-White
-aged 30 to 35
-black, shoulder-length hair with grey in it
He was wearing:
-a black puffa style jacket on with the hood up
-a black beanie hat
-white jogging bottoms
-trainers which were possibly Puma branded
