Officers investigating a public order incident outside of the Pavilion Bar in Ryde on Saturday (24 July) have charged two men.
Nino Bear Cavanagh, 28, of Kestrel Way, Carisbrooke, has been charged with affray and using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence.
Scott Edward Cooper, 32, of no fixed abode, has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker and possession of a Class B drug.
Both men appeared at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 26 July).
A 27-year-old man from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of affray and theft in connection with this incident, and a 26-year-old man from Wootton was also arrested on suspicion of affray. They have both been released from police custody with no further action being taken against them.
