Appeal for witnesses following assault in Aldershot

Did you witness an assault in Aldershot in the early hours of Sunday (25 July)?

The incident took place outside The George pub, in Victoria Road, between 12.45am and 1am.

A man punched another man in the face, causing him to lose consciousness, and left the scene before police arrived.

The victim, aged 21, has been left with a fractured cheek bone and a cut to the back of his head.

The two men are not thought to be known to each other, and officers continue to try to find out the identity of the man who left the scene.
