Man charged in Alton assault investigation

Officers investigating a serious assault in Alton that left a 24-year-old man with serious injuries have charged a man.
Tyler David Gard, 26, of Winstreet Close in Alton was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The incident happened just after midnight on 26 July 2020, on the High Street, Alton, close to the Vodafone store.
Gard, who appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 3 February, is next due to appear before Winchester Crown Court on 3 March.
