Officers investigating a series of shoplifting incidents in the Totton and Hythe areas have arrested and charged a man.
The charges come after a number of thefts from retail shops between 25 June and 14 July.
Liberty George Cooper, aged 49, of Water Lane, Totton was charged with two counts of theft from a shop.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Friday 3 September.
