A man has been charged as part of an investigation into the attempted theft of a charity box from a bank in Winchester.
Christopher Taylor, 34, from Hyde Gate, Winchester, was today (Thursday 19 August) charged with attempted theft and going equipped for theft.
The charge relates to an incident inside the NatWest bank on the city’s High Street on Wednesday 18 August.
Officers were called to the scene following reports of a man armed with scissors inside the bank.
Taylor is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court later this afternoon (Thursday 19 August).
