Officers investigating reports of dangerous driving yesterday afternoon (11 August) in the Chandler’s Ford area have arrested a man.
It was reported that a vehicle failed to stop for police when requested on Cambridge Green yesterday just after 2pm. The vehicle reportedly then drove at speed in the direction of police officers, before colliding with an unmarked police vehicle and another vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle subsequently decamped from the vehicle, but was later detained by officers in the local area.
A quantity of Class A drugs was located in the vehicle and seized as a result.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failure to stop, criminal damage and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He remains in custody at this time.
