We can confirm the incident on the M27 has now concluded and we are working with our partners in Highways Agency to re-open the road and ensure everyone’s safety.
The stretch of road between junctions 8 and 9 was closed following concerns raised for the welfare of a man on a bridge.
We can confirm that the man is now off the bridge and with emergency services.
We want to thank everyone for their patience whilst we dealt with this incident.
We understand that closures of this nature can cause an inconvenience. The safety and welfare of the public is always our utmost priority and emergency services worked to ensure the safety of the man on the bridge.
