Man arrested in connection with commercial burglaries in New Forest

Officers investigating a series of business burglaries and car thefts have yesterday (13 May) arrested a man.

A 21-year-old man from Bransgore was arrested in connection with the following offences?

• A business burglary at a property on Station Road, Holmsley, on 11 February 2020. A safe and some ice-creams were stolen.
• A business burglary at a garage on Undershore Road, Lymington, on 7 March 2020. A selection of tools were stolen.
• During the above burglary a Mitsubishi pick-up, a Skoda Octavia, and a Volkswagen Gold were stolen. He was arrested in relation to these car thefts and for the interference of a fourth car.
• A further business burglary at the Hinton service station in Hinton on 7 March 2020. A quantity of cigarettes, alcohol, and money was stolen.

The man has been released from custody on police bail as our enquiries continue.
