We have charged a man after a 49-year-old man was found with stab wounds in Wilton Avenue between 6.30pm and 6.45pm Monday 17 February.
The injured man is receiving hospital treatment. His injuries are considered serious but not life threatening.
Today (Feb 19), Richard Tyrell Smith, aged 49 of Hill Lane, Southampton will appear before Southampton Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder and threaten a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
