Witness appeal following assault in Gosport

We are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted on Ham Lane, Gosport.

The incident happened at 7.10am this morning (Monday 14 December).

The victim, an 18-year-old woman from Fareham, was walking on Ham Lane when she was followed and assaulted by a man.

She sustained injuries during the assault, they are not considered serious or life-threatening.

We would like to speak to a man in connection with the incident. He is described as follows:

• White
• Aged between 20 and 25-years-old
• Slim build
• Between 5feet 2inches and 5feet 4inches tall
• Curly, dark brown, scruffy hair, around ear length
• Pale complexion with cuts to his mouth and chin
• Red eyes
• Very hairy arms and hands
• Wearing dark grey baggy tracksuit bottoms, a blue, ripped t-shirt and trainers with white bottoms
