Man charged following serious assault in Southampton

Officers investigating a serious assault that took place in One Stop on Cumbrian Way, Southampton have charged a man.
Albie Samways, 20-years-old of Wimpson Lane, Southampton has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm and threatening a person with an offensive weapon.
The charges come after a man was left with significant injuries following an incident that happened on Saturday, 4 April.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates court this morning and has been remanded until Monday, 1 June.
