We charged a man with two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery following two incidents in Southampton city centre on Sunday 15 September.
The first incident occurred between 1.25am and 1.30am in East Park. A 22-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were approached by a man holding a knife. The man demanded they hand over cash.
The second incident happened between 11.15am and 11.30am on Dorset Street. A 49-year-old woman was approached by man carrying a knife and demanded she hand over cash. The woman did not hand anything over and ran away.
Luckily, no one was injured.
Ben Michael Harris, aged 33, of Bitterne Road West has been charged with two robberies and attempted robbery.
Harris will appear before Southampton Magistrates Court today (Sept 18).
