Southampton rape investigation update

Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the rape of a 19-year-old woman in Southampton.
The woman reported she was raped between 8.40pm and 9.20pm on Sunday 11 August in the park area between Union Road and Summers Street.
A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and questioned by officers. He has since been released under investigation.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
