We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Wootton Bridge.
Police were called just before 11pm yesterday (3 March) to reports of a road traffic collision on Wootton Bridge High Street.
This involved a pedestrian and a black Renault Megane.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s from Newport, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and is being treated in hospital.
The driver of the Renault, a 36-year-old woman from Newport, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in custody.
