Witness appeal after assault in Gosport

We are appealing for witnesses after an assault on The Avenue, Gosport, on Boxing Day morning.

Officers were called to reports of a vehicle being damaged in the early hours of 26 December, after a large dent was found on a Nissan Micra with some blood.

Following enquiries, it became clear that an assault took place involving multiple people whereby one person was repeatedly assaulted by a group.

We believe the victim is likely to have sustained a serious injury.

The vehicle was damaged during the assault.

This has not been reported to police and we are appealing for anyone who has any information to come forward.
