We are appealing for witnesses following a fail-to-stop collision in Andover.
Police were called at 9.25pm yesterday evening (Saturday 25 January) to a report of a collision at the pedestrian crossing on Smannell Road, near to Tesco Express.
This involved a car and a pedestrian in his 30s, who had come from the direction of Roman Way.
The car failed to stop at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment and has since returned home.
Smannell Road was closed for a short time while police carried out enquiries at the scene but has since reopened.
The only detail we have about the vehicle involved at the current time is that it is silver in colour. We are continuing with our enquiries today in order gain a more specific description and we will update you when we have more information.
In the meantime, we would like to speak to anyone who was on Smannell Road at the time of the collision. Did you see what happened, the moments leading up to it or the aftermath?
We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam or any other video footage of the incident.
If you have any information that may assist our investigation, please call 101 quoting reference 44250037330.
