We’re appealing for information following a series of theft incidents at Swanwick Marina.
As part of enquiries, we are issuing a CCTV image of someone we would like to speak to – we know this is not the clearest image, however we are hoping that someone will recognise the individual, or perhaps may have seen him in the area or has any information to assist our investigation.
The first incident happened on 27 August this year – between twenty past midnight and 1.20am, the RK Marine boatyard was broken into and two plastic 25 litre Yamaha outboard quick release fuel tanks were stolen. Both contained petrol.
Then, on 29 August at around 11.30pm, the same boatyard was broken into again, and a boat engine was stolen. This is described as a grey Yamaha 2.5 4 stroke outboard engine, with a serial number 6EG-1035287.
Finally, on 3 September this year between 2am and 3am, a man rowed over to a pontoon at Swanwick Marina before boarding a Dale Nelson 38' boat. An outboard engine was then stolen from a tender.
