We are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Southampton just before 7.15pm yesterday (September 25).
Officers attended after a collision on the Itchen Bridge, involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s from Southampton, has suffered a life-threatening head injury, and was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
As part of our investigation, the motorcycle rider, a 31-year-old man from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody at this time.
We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, in particular anyone who may have dash-cam footage.
