We received a report that a 17 year-old boy had been waiting at a bus stop with friends, when two men in their mid-to-late 30s assaulted him.
Between 3:00pm and 3:30pm on Wednesday 11 September, the teenage boy was waiting at a bus stop on the corner of Nutbeam Road and Derby Road in Eastleigh with two friends, when he was approached by two men who verbally threatened him. They are then reported to have assaulted the boy by head-butting, punching and kneeing him, before leaving the area when approached by members of the public.
The boy suffered serious injuries, including a fractured eye socket, as a result of the assault and was taken to hospital.
Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and are now in a position to release a description of two men we would like to speak to.
The men are described as follows:
Man 1:
Man 2:
We are also releasing this image, which we believe shows one of the men we'd like to talk to.
If anyone recognises either of these men, or witnessed the incident and has information which could assist with our enquiries, please report this to us. We are also very keen to talk to anyone that has dashcam or mobile phone footage which could help us.
Anyone with information can call 101, quoting the reference 44240390922.
