Witnesses sought after suspicious incident in Havant

We are appealing for witnesses after receiving reports of a suspicious incident in Havant yesterday.

Between 5:00pm and 5:10pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 November), a 12 year-old girl was reportedly waiting at a bus stop on Barncroft Way, when she was approached by a man that she didn’t know.

The man spoke to the girl briefly and then tried to touch her inappropriately over her clothing. The girl called for help from members of the public and the man left the area.

She was not physically hurt.

Enquiries are ongoing in order to identify the man involved, who has been described as follows:

• Aged in his 60s
• Mixed race or tanned skin
• Very short grey hair
• Large build
• Wearing dark trousers, a cream-coloured puffer coat and a baseball cap
