Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of an attempted robbery in Basingstoke.
We received a report that a woman riding a blue Yamaha moped was approached by two men in the residential car park on Gershwin Road, near the Brighton Way junction close to Chopin Road.
The incident took place between 7pm and 7.25pm on Tuesday 5 November.
It was reported that both men were armed with knives and they attempted to steal her motorcycle. They were unsuccessful in their attempt and fled the scene.
Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and would like to hear from any witnesses.
Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness the incident or any suspicious behaviour? Do you have any dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage which could help our investigation?
Officers would also like to identify the registration of a silver Vauxhall Astra, or similar vehicle, which was seen driving behind a blue Yamaha moped in the Brighton Hill area during this time frame.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44240484997.
