We are appealing for witnesses and information after three people were hit with ball bearings in Greatham.
Between 3.30pm and 3.40pm on Wednesday 29 May, a seven-year-old boy and two women, aged in their 40s, were struck with ball bearings at the Greatham Village Hall play area.
The boy suffered a minor injury to the back of his head, one of the women suffered redness and swelling to her back, while the other woman was not injured.
At this time, it is unclear what device was used to fire the ball bearings.
Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out various enquiries and would like to speak with any potential witnesses who may be able to help with the investigation.
Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness any suspicious behaviour? Do you have any footage that could assist our enquiries?
Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting the reference number 44240225497.
