Officers investigating the robbery of a man in Southampton are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
On Sunday (28 July), sometime between 1.30 and 5.10pm, a man in his 30s was approached by a group of four males unknown to him, two of which were on bicycles, on Shirley High Street. He was threatened with a glass bottle and his phone, headphones, backpack and wallet were taken.
The man was not injured.
Officers investigating this incident have been carrying out CCTV enquiries on Shirley High Street. As part of our ongoing enquiries we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Sunday afternoon and saw the robbery taking place.
From what we know so far, we believe that the incident took place between the Tidal Vape Shop and McDonald’s at some time between 1.30 and 5.10pm, although we have been able to narrow down a more specific timeframe at the current time.
As we continue to investigate this incident we are keen to hear from anyone who was on Shirley High Street on Sunday afternoon and saw what happened. Perhaps you witnessed four males, two of which were on bicycles, approaching a lone man? Or maybe you saw what looked like an altercation between the group and a man on his own?
