We are appealing for witnesses following a report of robbery in Pleasance Way, New Milton shortly before 7am last Wednesday (17 January).
During the incident, the victim, a woman in her 50s, was approached by an unknown man on a bicycle who tried to steal her handbag.
The victim refused to hand over her bag and has subsequently fallen to the floor in the struggle, sustaining minor injuries in the process.
The suspect has continued to try and steal the bag whilst the victim is on the floor. He eventually rode off on his bike, leaving empty-handed.
The suspect is described as;
- White
- Aged in his late teens to 30 years-old
- Slim build
- Under 6ft tall
