We’re appealing for witnesses to a robbery which occurred at Central Stores in Well Road, East Cowes on Wednesday 14 February.
It’s been reported to police that at around 7.50pm a lone member of staff at the premises challenged an alleged shoplifter, and was subsequently pushed into a glass fridge door, resulting in her nose being broken.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody at this time.
We believe there were other customers in the shop at the time who may have witnessed this incident, and urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44240066695. You can also submit information to us online here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
