We are appealing for information following a series of suspicious incidents, in which a woman was followed, that have been reported to us in Southampton city centre.
We received reports that a man had been acting in a suspicious manner in the West Quay shopping centre and Ikea, behaving inappropriately and following a woman in her 20s. Nobody has been injured.
The reports made to us have occurred on Tuesday 6 February at around 5.45pm and Thursday 8 February at around 3.30 and 5.30pm.
Officers have been conducting enquiries and now have this image of a man seen in the area at the time, who we would like to speak to in connection with the incidents. He is described as:
Shopping centre security and the local policing teams have all been made aware of these incidents and are carrying out dedicated patrols in the area.
We would now like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist our enquiries. Do you recognise the man pictured? Have you noticed any similar incidents in the city centre that have not yet been reported to police?
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44240058174.
