We’re appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in Eastleigh.
At around 11.45pm on Friday 9 August, a group of friends left the Station Pub and walked along the High Street towards a local kebab house.
The group were then approached by another group, described as teenagers and words were exchanged.
The group of friends were then followed by the group of youths to George Street. Members of each group were said to have walked through Romsey Road, Leigh Park, and Newtown Road during this time before arriving in George Street.
A man in his 30s, who was among the group of friends, was then reported to have been assaulted by one of the youths in George Street, sustaining facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The group of youths are then said to have run off in the direction of Leigh Park.
We are appealing for anyone who has information about this assault and the events leading up to it. Did you see these two groups in the respective areas described, and did you witness any interaction between the two groups?
Do you live in these areas and have any Doorbell, Dash Cam or CCTV footage that may have captured any part of this incident?
