Update – we’re still working at the scene of a collision on the M3 which happened at around 6.30am this morning. The northbound carriageway between junctions 9 and 8 are still closed and are expected to remain closed until mid afternoon.
The collision involved a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Diversions are in place but we would urge drivers to avoid the area if they can.
We will update as soon as the road has been re-opened.
If you saw what happened or have dashcam footage of the incident, please contact us online or on 101 quoting incident 44240373544.
