Officers investigating an aggravated burglary in Southampton last night (Wednesday 17 April) are appealing to the public for information.
At approximately 9.40pm a house was broken into on Athelstan Road and various items including jewellery and money were taken.
A man in his 40s was assaulted during the incident, resulting in bruising to his head.
An investigation has been launched and officers have been in the area carrying out enquiries. As part of our ongoing investigation we would now like to hear from anyone that we have not yet spoken to who may have information about the incident. Perhaps you live in the area and have CCTV or Ring Doorbell footage that may have captured something? Or maybe you were driving through the area and have dash cam footage that may assist our investigation?
We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw two men in the area at the time of the offence, who we would like to speak to in connection with our enquiries.
